It has become a business cost that should be reduced. Stakeholders do not communicate transparently on this issue and hide behind medical arguments or insurance policies. In the mean while the patients are suffering from over and under treatment or high premiums. There is no silver bullet in tackling healthcare fraud but counter fraud units globally can learn how to recognise patterns of abuse even before the bill is paid.’
