Matawan, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 02/10/2014 --Raffi is a purebred Arabian Stallion who has a serious injury, a fractured jaw that requires bone fragments to be removed and a dental plate to be installed in his jaw to be able to heal properly. He needs to go to U. C. Davis Equine Hospital to have the surgery and needs $12,000  to have it done, and cover transportation costs and special feed.

Raffi has a ravenous appetite, and Ann has been feeding him a diet of softened grains, steamed rolled barley and Equine Senior, with hot water over the top, mixed in, then she let it cool before adding his uniprim, a powdered antibiotic, and he is also on penicillin twice a day. The surgery at U. C. Davis is the only hope of survival as there is only a thirty percent chance that it can heal on its own.

This serious injury was caused by trespassers bringing one bale of hay into a corral, then opening the gate to the 100 acres Ann has leased for the past 11 years,  and letting her bachelor herd in with hay in one spot which caused them to fight, and caused Raffi to be seriously injured with a life threatening fractured jaw.
