Portland, OR -- (SBWire) -- 08/09/2016 --The Canadian National Vending Alliance (CNVA), a coalition of the largest vending operators across Canada, announces that it has partnered with PayRange to bring mobile payment across 100% of its vending machines coast-to-coast.
The mobile payment capabilities at the core of the patented PayRange platform are allowing CNVA to bring cashless payment acceptance to their vending machines without the expense or complexity of installing card readers and network connections. The vending machine only needs the BluKey™ dongle which installs in seconds. Then using the free PayRange App which is available for iOS and Android, users make purchases. The App may be funded with credit and debit cards, and Apple Pay.
"The CNVA prides itself on addressing the needs of consumers and with more people becoming increasingly cashless, we realized we needed a mobile payment solution to bring to all our machines," said Steve Tremblay, President of the Canadian National Vending Alliance. "With the PayRange platform, we're able to provide consumers with greater choice not only in how to pay, but also in what they can purchase from the machines as they are no longer constrained by the change in their pockets."
A couple CNVA operators conducted a pilot and the results were immediate and impressive prompting a rapid deployment program for the CNVA that will get 80% of the machines enabled in 6 months, and the balance over the ensuing months. The PayRange system is easy to install without the need for any tools allowing for rapid deployment.
The PayRange system provides operators a new way to process payment at both new and old machines alike, bringing the previously decades-long cash-dependent payment system into the mobile payment age. Mobile payments reduce dependency on cash and coin, give consumers a convenient payment option, and have been shown to increase overall machine sales and consumer satisfaction with the experience.
About PayRange
PayRange was founded in 2013 by Paresh Patel to provide operators and consumers with the simplest, most accessible mobile payment solution possible. The company is distributing its BluKey™ devices to operators in the US and Canada. Consumers can download the free mobile app from either the Apple App Store for iPhone users or the Google Play Store for Android users. The PayRange app enables consumers to make their transactions at unattended points of sale — vending machines, amusement devices, laundry and more — quicker and easier. And with flexible funding options including all major credit and debit cards plus the ability to add funds via Apple Pay or Android Pay (US Only), consumers are empowered to make mobile payments a reality. PayRange-enabled machines can be found across the 50 United States and throughout Canada.
