Tucson, AZ -- (SBWire) -- 09/12/2014 --Most authors struggle to keep their series’ alive for more than just two or three volumes. Few make a dozen and only the brave bestsellers attempt further success. Author Sandrine Gasq-Dion admits that she takes her writing very seriously, a quality that has afforded her a series currently comprised of twenty-three books, with seven more due.

‘Assassin Shifters’ has rapidly picked up acclaim and thousands of readers for its ability to fuse an edge-of-the-seat narrative with thought-provoking issues currently plaguing society. Original characters find themselves in a world awash with shape-shifters, vampires and children of Olympian Gods. There’s nothing quite like this currently on the market.

November will see the release of book four in the 12 Olympian books. ‘Strange Addiction’ follows Brock Holloway, the child of Aphrodite and Zack Duran, the wolverine shifter who needs manners. But the volume transcends fiction to also garner vital awareness for the increasing number of teen suicides in the GLBT community.

Synopsis: Brock Holloway has it all -- money, friends, a bitchin' car and a promising football career. At least, that's what people see. Inside, though, Brock is fighting for something he knows he can never have: Unconditional love. As the child of Aphrodite, he is worshipped, admired, wanted - but never loved.

Zack Duran is a wolverine shifter -- and not a nice guy. Zack's shifter side is always in control, often making him heartless and unfeeling. When Zack is assigned to guard Brock Holloway, his tactless wolverine tendencies become even more prevalent and Zack has to fight his shifter personality AND his genuine feelings for the beautiful football player.

A near tragedy shakes him to his core, and Zack can no longer fight the feelings he has for Brock. But giving in to his emotions may come at too high a price. A startling secret charges Brock with the nearly impossible task of taming Zack's beast. Is he up to the challenge? Can Zack give him what he needs? And with danger working overtime, can they finally be together as they were intended?

“If you haven’t yet started this series, you need to – now!” admits Gasq-Dion, who has interviewed dozens of gay men to assist with her character development. “Not just because the stories are great, but because they will leave you with plenty to think about. Teen suicides, particularly those among members of the GLBT community, are on an alarming rise. This new volume deals with the repercussions of a gay man’s suicide attempt and will have readers re-examining their own beliefs and attitudes.”

Continuing, “I am also partnering with The Trevor Project and Bravelets to do a series of giveaways and contests. It’s just my bit for society; I am acutely aware of the influence literature has on people and see this as the perfect opportunity to affect change.”

The series’ previous volumes have garnered a consistent string of rave reviews. For example, Caroline comments, “It is too easy to become addicted to this series! Each new book is a like a trip to visit the family, both familiar and new. If you haven’t read this series – start at the beginning! You need to build it up with layers, meet the characters and understand the world building, I promise you will not be disappointed!!”

Janetnaz thoroughly enjoyed volume twenty-three, ‘Savage Love’. She writes, “The great thing about Sandrine Gasq-Dion's Assassin/Shifter series is the continuity of the characters and how the individual stories are interwoven with the earlier book. This story of almost love, loss, and ultimately redemption is a kind of feel good story that makes it worth reading. Toss in the fantasy, bad guys, and steamy scenes and you have a winner. Can't wait for the next book!”
