London, England -- (SBWire) -- 04/21/2016 --A new survey has found that one in five people when moving home sort out broadband facilities before water supply. The research, conducted by Vodafone has shed light on the main priority, putting it in front of utilities such as gas and electricity. The research also indicated that broadband access is a deciding factor on where people choose to relocate to.
In the Vodafone poll, a whopping 71% of homeowners stated they would always pay consideration to the broadband facilities prior to purchasing a house in any given location. Additionally 67% commented that poor broadband facilities were a deciding factor on them choosing not to buy in a particular location. A fast running broadband connection was also more important than organising council tax and permits for parking, the survey uncovered.
A spokesperson for Elephant Removals commented "In today's day and age it is no surprise that broadband provision is an important factor in the decision making process when buying a house. The internet is used so much in daily life there is barely a time we don't tend to use it in all manner of uses whether to watch television or research information. With the rise of fibre and much of the existing network being updated, people are bound to move where the best connections are as it is almost a standard requirement now to have a decent internet connection."
