Valley Cottage, NY -- (SBWire) -- 12/05/2017 --Metal rolling is the method of stretching a piece of metal sheet to a certain thickness by increasing its length. Metal rolling can be done in two ways, by cold rolling process and by hot rolling process. Cold rolling oils/ lubricants are used in cold rolling processes, is described as the life blood of the process because of their impact on product quality and mill productivity. The ability of a cold rolling lubricant is observed in terms of its effect on rolling mill performance. It is defined on the basis of the coefficient of friction it offers in the roll bite region. By reducing the friction, rolling oils increase the reduction in thickness obtainable with a roll load. However, the friction must not fall below the limit necessary to carry out the desired deformation. Thus, cold rolling lubricants should provide optimum frictional conditions in order to reduce the rolling force and to cut energy demands to the minimum. Moreover, the friction in the roll bite seriously affects the quality of the material being rolled, since too high friction results in surface defects, eg, friction pickup. Cold rolling oil are also used for enhancing the surface quality by lubrication and cooling the frictional and plastic deformation heat generated during the cold rolling process.

Global Cold Rolling Oils/ Lubricants Market: Dynamics
Growing metal & mining industry and automotive industry is expected to drive the global cold rolling oils/ lubricants market. Increasing usage of metal sheets in different application like container manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, metal sheets used in roofing purpose and other application is expected to uplift the global cold rolling oils/ lubricants market as manufacturing of all this application products requires cold rolling oils for the reduction of friction resistance as well as reduction of heat generated due to friction.
Global cold rolling oils/ lubricants market is mainly affected due to high manufacturing cost of cold rolling process as compared to hot rolling process. Therefore preference towards hot rolling process is going to create major challenge for the cold rolling oils/ lubricants manufacturers. Since cold rolling oils/ lubricants are only used in cold rolling process, affecting the global cold rolling oils/ lubricants market.

Global Cold Rolling Oils/ Lubricants Regional Outlook
Asia Pacific is estimated to be the dominating market for cold rolling oils/ lubricants market in the forecasted period. This is mainly due to presence of large number of metal manufacturing industries in this region, owing to which there is high presence of cold rolling mills in this region. Therefore with the high presence of cold rolling mills there is high usage of cold rolling oils/ lubricants in this region. Europe is also anticipated to hold significant market share of global cold rolling oil/ lubricants market due to growing automotive industry in this region. Here automotive parts are manufactured, and hence cold rolling oils/ lubricants are being extensively used in this industry.
