The Summer Chill was one in a series of four seasonal-themed, educational video gaming tournaments that DimensionU launched last summer. Students from all over the U.S. and Canada competed using DimensionU's first person, multiplayer gaming environment that incorporates mathematics (and literacy) curriculum for grades 3 through 9. DimensionU games can be played on the web, iOS devices and/or through a PC/MAC download format.
"Congratulations to all Summer Chill participants because regardless of whether a prize was won, everyone gained academic practice and enrichment, while also having fun. Our goal during the summer is to help prevent summer learning loss and keep students engaged with curriculum, so they never stop learning.," said Steven Hoy, CEO of DimensionU, Inc. That's why we say, "U Game, U Gain!," added Hoy.
