Matawan, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 12/10/2013 --Rum is a drink known the world over for its character and flavor and a proven winner at parties across the globe as a light yet deep drink filled with the promise of happy times and good occasions. There are hundreds of different types of rum out there but Black Caesar Rum is set apart by its pedigree.

Black Caesar was an African chief known for his strength and intelligence. After being tricked aboard a slave ship in Africa, he escaped during a hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean. In just a longboat, he and a friend stole supplies and treasures from passing ships and hoarded the loot on Florida's Elliot Key.

Black Caesar came to Antigua some time in his travels; it’s not known exactly when but he befriended an Antiguan native nicknamed Coral. Coral was also Gerald Daniel’s great, great, great grandfather. During many nights sitting around the campfire, Black Caesar told stories of plunder and plight throughout the Florida Keys. They would mix a special drink for these nights. This drink would make them feel that the world was at their feet. The mixture remains a family secret up to this day.

Gerald is looking to let the world know about this special drink that was lost to the ages until now. He has engaged a rum consultant to finalize the taste, packaging, international regulations, industry profiles, demographic profiles, consumer preferences, equipment sourcing and factory setup.

The funds raised would be for equipment needed to get this dream up and running. A few pieces of equipment needed would be a reverse osmosis system, labeler and corker.

This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal of $150,000. Funding duration: December 04, 2013 - January 20, 2014 (11:59pm PT).
