Vancouver, British Columbia -- (SBWire) -- 09/06/2013 --If you love jazz music or are just looking for a new place to meet some friends, get some good food and have a few drinks then Pat’s Pub is the place for you. With local jazz musicians playing more than twice in one week there’s always something to look forward to. Pat’s Pub is also an onsite microbrewery which provides their customers and fellow beer connoisseurs the most authentic local brewing service possible.
Pat’s Pub has been around since 1914 although it was previously known as Patricia Café before having the name changed. It has been known as one of the original Jazz Hotspots in Vancouver and would go on to host some of the most famous Jazz musicians of all time. The most notable musician was “Ferdinand “Jelly Roll” Morton” who at 28 had made Vancouver his home from 1919 – 1921. Still to this very day the Pub’s original wood still exists as a reminder of the history that Pat’s Pub Carries with it.
After being around for so long Pat’s Pub is still going strong and is re-establishing its name on the local music scene. Not only does Pat’s Pub still play host to amazing local jazz musicians but they also have Indie-Rock/Pop shows most Fridays or Saturdays. With great food, local musicians, locally brewed beer and a load of history Pat’s Pub is definitely not a local hot spot that you want to miss.
