Sugar Land, TX -- (SBWire) -- 04/02/2014 --Integrity Tax Relief is pleased to announce its partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston to host The 1st Annual Literacy Campaign Book Drive. Last years “Cultivating the Community- Part 1” event, sponsored by Integrity Tax Relief to benefit The Freeway Literacy Foundation, served as a kick-off to the Literacy Campaign Initiative whose mission is to work in partnership with schools, teachers, community organizations and entertainers to ensure that everyone has a chance to learn the true power of literacy. With the support of some of the cities biggest influencers, The Foundation is focusing on gathering as many books as possible to distribute throughout the community with a focus on youth and disenfranchised adults.
Reading is one of the key skills a person can use to create change in their own lives, and the lives of those around them. Knowing how to analyze and think critically is a key part of social integration. When a person cannot read it works as a barrier to being a part of functional growing communities. Integrity Tax Relief President Sam Hamilton knows the importance of literacy and is vocal about his passion to inspire, motivate, and educate others.
The books received will be donated to local schools, community centers, and youth programs throughout the city. Book and/or Monetary Donations can be brought to Integrity Tax Relief Offices located at 54 Sugarcreek Center Blvd. Suite 300 Sugar Land, TX 77478 or Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston 6437 High Star Dr, Houston, TX 77074
