Mayden Hollywood Nominated for Best of British Uma's

A British-born singer-songwriter and producer who resides in Los Angeles is pleased to announce he has beaten thousands of other acts to be named in the UK’s top ten Unsigned Bands. Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWire) -- 10/12/2015 --Mayden Hollywood, a singer and producer who recently released his new single titled Hollywood, has beaten thousands of other acts to be named in the UK's top ten Unsigned Bands.

The former A&R man for Balance Productions in New York was originally from Birmingham, England. He has now become a successful American producer and now resides in Los Angeles where his fan base continues to grow around the world. He was nominated in the best song category at the 2015 Unsigned Music Awards (UMAs).

Since the awards were launched in 2012, more than 23,000 music fans have voted for their best-unsigned bands. Those who have voted include the general public, singers and celebrities, including Frank Turner and International footballer Gareth Bale.

Mayden Hollywood said of the nomination, "Todays Music is considered to be a culturally enriching Art form, and I'm very proud to be able to be a part of it. There has been no better time to be a Recording Artist than now''.

The singer-songwriter has seen his career go from strength to strength. His latest single, which is titled 'Hollywood', has excited his fans. The song that was in Journey of a Female Comic has received positive reviews from fans and the media.

The other categories include Best Female, Best Male and Best Song, which was previously won by Leicestershire born Molly Smitten-Downes whose career was boosted when she went on to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The winner of the awards, which are hosted by Best of British Bands (Bob Unsigned) will be voted for by the public through an online public vote. BoB Unsigned is the UK's number one website for 'Unsigned Music' and supplies a weekly radio show to 70FM stations in 15 countries.

The judges for this year's awards, are: Huey Morgan, Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman and presenter for BBC 6 Music, Max Helyer, guitarist for rock band You Me at Six and staff at the music magazine 'Q'.

Huey Morgan said: "If those of us who have jumped into the deep end don't report back to the next generation what we have experienced, we would be remiss in our endeavor."
