Colne, England -- (SBWire) -- 05/26/2016 --The recent UK Lingerie Awards has drawn attention to what is set to be a big trend for 2016; innovatively designed underwear which provides the ideal fit for female bodies. This comes in the light of Selina Bond winning the top prize 'New Designer of the Year' with her range of lingerie designs which incorporated Formula One inspired technologies. Her series of bras and briefs featured carbon fibre moulds – typically used in race cars – to closely fit the bodies of her models. The award champions the best in cutting-edge design, so Bond's work emphasises what really is hot right now; closely fitting underwear with a modern feel.
Bond is only 23 and a recent graduate of De Montfort University, keen to add to the growing interest in underwear which not only provides the finest fit, but bold visual appeal too. She used a series of dark colours and high-shine materials to ensure her designs held a bold visual impression on the catwalk. She in turn triumphed over four other contenders to receive recognition as New Designer of Year at the UK Lingerie Awards.
It appears that the latest design techniques and playing close attention to the female body are other bold trends behind Bond's successes. Keen to comment on this was Lux Lingerie, a prime provider of a range of underwear:
"That the UK Lingerie Awards are recognising the best in new design as an option which prioritises fit and fast technologies, shows that lingerie needs to match the modern world. That is why we are proud to offer a large selection of up-and-coming designs here at Lux Lingerie."
