London, England -- (SBWire) -- 08/11/2015 --Leading supplier of natural stone paving, London Stone, have recently commented on the news of a regeneration project in Newry, in which the Cathedral Corridor will be restored with the use of natural stone paving.

The project is set to start in October, and natural stone paving will be used to help restore areas within Cathedral Corridor, including Margaret Street, Marcus Street, and Hill Street. Kerbing, footways, road surfacing and shared spaces will be part of the regeneration, with the use of natural stone paving. The project totals £860,000, which has been provided by the Public Realm Scheme, and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

Often commenting on industry news, a spokesperson for London Stone said, 'Regeneration projects have been rife in the UK this year, and the vast majority are choosing natural stone paving, thanks to the high quality of the material. It makes any area look great, and citizens are sure to see the benefits in these areas, with better looking roads and safer footways.

At London Stone we sell a great range, suitable for all manner of projects, from driveways to gardens. Natural stone paving is the best way to make a long lasting, great looking surface outdoors, and we only expect the use of the materials to increase in popularity when it comes to regeneration projects across the country.
