Toronto, CA -- (SBWire) -- 02/04/2014 --Parkbench.com, a popular free web platform dedicated to offering promotional marketing services to local business owners is now completing its mission of changing the way Torontonians discover their neighbourhoods.
In February 2014, Parkbench will launch Version 2.0 of their already thriving website. The long awaited launch will bring in a plethora of new interactive features along with a fresh design and most importantly a downloadable app available for Apple iOS and Google Android in the spring of 2014.
The directive set out by Parkbench CEO Grant Findlay-Shirras is to extend the traditional neighbourhood experience through the utilization of modern technology and the Internet.
The people of Toronto will soon have a complete online neighbourhood solution that will bridge the gap between residents, local business and most importantly neighbours. The new features included in the February launch are designed to facilitate a higher level of open communication and establish an online community that is reflective of the physical neighbourhoods they represent. Specific interactive community features include all new, redesigned community message boards with group and peer-to-peer discussion capabilities.
Another large component of Parkbench.com Version 2.0 is the recent partnership with MyRealPage.com. ParkBench community members now have the ability to search online for local real estate within their desired community. The ability to browse real estate opportunities on the web has obviously been available for years but ParkBench has enhanced that experience in Toronto by providing additional information pertaining to the neighbourhood and surrounding areas.
“When people look to buy homes, they want to know everything about the neighbourhood, not just the home. People want insights on the local businesses, people and culture of the area. Current real estate websites are not a complete, comprehensive resource in regards to all aspects of the neighbourhood. This is Parkbench’s specialty.” - Grant Findlay-Shirras, CEO of Parkbench
Above and beyond great real estate search capabilities, Parkbench also features Toronto’s Top Real Estate Agents as local experts in each neighbourhood.
Amanda Newman, Co-Founder and CPO, reveals, “I was once a real estate agent, and found that people often do not realize the benefits they get from using a true neighbourhood expert. By not employing a professional for real estate purchases and investments a buyer can miss out on tens of thousands of dollars in savings. Using an expert can make a significant difference and that is why we brought on the true neighbourhood experts!”
