Provo, UT -- (SBWire) -- 06/04/2014 --While most of the world is abandoning organized religion, Paul H. Schneiter takes the opposite position: He seeks to reinforce faith among members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and others who have never believed in God or who have dismissed Him. With a number of books already under his belt, including the successful Rise, with Healing in Our Wings, Schneiter sees himself as an “ordinary Mormon” with the potential to be a force for spiritual good.
POEMS Latter-day Saints Will Cherish achieves that goal with gusto. Containing forty-eight simple and powerful poems, the book was written to offer hope and encouragement to all Latter-day Saints striving to meet the challenges of their lifestyle and the obligations of their faith.
Synopsis:
A walk of faith is never without challenges.
Author and poet Paul H. Schneiter takes readers on a journey of discovery through his newest compilation of poetry, POEMS Latter-day Saints Will Cherish. The book, containing forty-eight poems, shares one man's inspirational stories about overcoming personal obstacles while staying true to his faith.
Schneiter’s traditionally crafted poetry will ring true in the hearts of Latter-day Saints and all those who have struggled with their own personal journeys. The clear, straightforward, message-driven poems, each with its own rhythmic meter, sets this collection apart from other inspirational poetry. Readers who have enjoyed the writing of the late Neal A. Maxwell will find comfort and inspiration in the work of Paul H. Schneiter.
“Today almost fifteen million Latter-day Saints exist in over thirty thousand congregations, all in a world where devotion to faith is dying,” says Schneiter. “However, Latter-day Saints believe that "every nation, kindred, tongue, and people" are to have an opportunity to join the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. While Latter-day Saints will naturally enjoy seeing their beliefs in poetic form, my book can be used to empower all of God’s children —even if they don’t believe at all.”
Continuing, “The poems present many of the challenges that Latter-day Saints face in the modern-day world, so my work attempts to reinforce the church’s basic, compelling and straightforward message; virtually everything is based on LDS doctrine. One of the most powerful aspects is that I am just an ordinary man, which allows people to receive inspiration from someone they can identify with. In all, it’s a potentially life-changing read.”

Sample Poem – Forever Love
It took faith to climb each temple tread
Bent on belonging to each other forever.
It took love’s yearning to subdue dread
To start a trip to the off-ramp of never.
Could we have known that ordained day
We quiz ourselves now decades hence.
Would we have had the strength to say
“I do” and “I do” with feeling as intense?
I look into my love’s eyes, kiss her cheek.
She nods, lays her head on my shoulder.
Thus sweetly shown is the answer we seek,
Trials only make love stronger, not older.
