Shetland, UK -- (SBWire) -- 03/19/2015 --Pure Energy Centre today announced that the company plans to participate in the First Workshop On Smart Grid And Renewable Energy (SGRE 2015) in Qatar on the 22-23 March 2015.
The Pure Energy Centre will actively participate to the Conference Workshop by discussing how to utilize their latest innovative energy storage technology, the environmentally friendly Solar nitrogen system (SNS). The SNS has initially been developed for use in the oil and gas industry and processing plants, and it is now proposed to balance electrical grid Network globally.
The Pure Energy Centre will deliver a presentation titled: 'Oil And Gas Renewable Solar Nitrogen Energy Storage Technologies Integration With Smart Grid'.*
Elizabeth Johnson MBE, Pure Energy Centre Business Development Manager said 'we have seen a new phenomenon where electrical grids around the world become more and more saturated with excess renewable generation. Smart grid systems to balance the grid have been thought to be the answer, but smart grids can only distribute or control the flow of the energy. If there is excess energy, then one of the two solutions for a smart grid system to avoid any electrical blackout is to shutdown renewable energy generation or to switch on electrical devices to absorb the excess energy being generated'.
Elizabeth added, 'at Pure Energy Centre we do not believe that it is right to shut down renewable power. This clearly defeats the purpose of renewable power which is to reduce emissions and reduce our dependence on hydrocarbons. What we feel is that there should be a better solution to this. This is why we have develop a new storage technology that could be used anywhere in the world to store excess generated renewable energy as nitrogen.'
Ross Gazey, Technical Director at Pure Energy Centre said, 'our talk at Smart Grid And Renewable Energy 2015 will focus on discussing how a smart grid system coupled with many nitrogen generators can solve grid issues. It will also show that energy storage technologies such as nitrogen and hydrogen can support the uptake and strengthening of renewable with no negative effect on the environment and human kind. This is what we all believe in at the Pure Energy Centre and we want to share our knowledge on smart grid, energy storage and solar technology with as many organizations as possible. Smart Grid And Renewable Energy 2015 (SGRE2015) is therefore the right platform for knowledge sharing on this novel application of smart energy management systems coupled with energy storage technologies.'
The Pure Energy Centre has already developed several nitrogen systems in Africa and Asia and is currently developing its portfolio in the Middle East and Europe with current sales discussions. Using nitrogen production to balance the grid will bring much needed flexibility in grid management terms. This will lead to a better energy system with less blackouts and increase renewable energy penetration.
The conference will include a variety of business leaders, public bodies, entrepreneurs, and academia. It will be an opportunity for the Pure Energy Centre and attendees to meet with a range of public agencies, business associations and other organisations to discuss the possible shape and content of the Smart Grid , Renewable and Energy Storage international engagement.
