North Fargo, ND -- (SBWire) -- 11/07/2011 --Each state has its own workforce safety and insurance grant program to support, fund, and encourage worker health and safety. Any company can apply for the grant dollars, however, there is a finite amount of money which is replenished each year.

One state, North Dakota, provides a few options to companies. Companies must select a “provider”, which means a representative from the healthcare industry who will go to the client and assess areas for ergonomic improvement. WSI, the program in North Dakota, will pay up to 75% to the provider for their service as well as pay for the ergonomic solutions. Lift’n Buddy is quickly becoming the preferred ergonomic solution for these programs. The WSI Ergonomic Initiative and Ergonomic Grant Step-by-Step Process can be found at http://www.workforcesafety.com/safety/losscontrol.asp.

The WSI cannot recommend products; healthcare providers performing the assessments can recommend products. Increasingly providers in North Dakota and all states with similar grant program are suggesting Lift’n Buddy as a direct solution to avoiding injuries.

Lift’n Buddy is committed to reducing injuries from repetitive lifting, lowering, and moving. Aaron Lamb created this important and cost-effective electric hand truck to drive improved safety and lower the high cost to North American businesses. The cost of back injuries alone costs millions of dollars each year. According to Lamb, “Lift'n Buddy automates those tasks, significantly reducing the potential for injuries and costly downtime.”
