Beijing, China -- (SBWire) -- 01/01/2012 --Koelnmesse and China Toy & Juvenile Products Association (TJPA) recently announced a collaboration which sees the German trade fair organizer co-hosting China's most promising baby and children's supplies industry event – the China International Baby Carriers & Baby Articles Fair (China Kids Expo) – which will be staged from October 11-13, 2012 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in China. The partners aim to maximize the synergy of both parties to establish China's only international showcase platform for the industry.
As the driving force behind Kind+Jugend-the world's largest kid's and baby products fair – Koelnmesse will inject its expertise and contacts to give China Kids Expo a worldwide reach.
"We are very excited to be part of China Kids Expo. The exhibition industry poses both opportunities and challenges, and one of the reasons for choosing to work with TJPA is partly due to its authoritativeness and status within the industry. The other being the bright prospects of the infant and kids products market," said David Feng, Managing Director of Koelnmesse.
"Being associated with Koelnmesse is a win-win choice, not only in opening up the Chinese market, but also attracting international buyers and further developing the industry. It is TJPA's strategy to step up efforts in establishing an internationally renowned exhibition, as well as Koelnmesse's proactive stance in developing their business in China," said Shi Xiaoguang, chairman of TJPA - China's only national body for this trade boasting 4,500 members and is also the Chinese government's sole appointed legal representative at the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) whose influence is widely recognized locally.
China Kids Expo co-locates with the 11th Trade Fair for Toys & Hobby which is also organized by TJPA. Organizers project over 1,000 exhibitors to participate at the events which span about 80,000 square-meters in total, including 500 companies at China Kids Expo.
The first edition of China Kids Expo this year attracted group participation from key domestic manufacturing regions, such as Kunshan in Jiangsu, Pinghu in Zhejiang, Ningbo, Shucheng in Anhui and Pingxiang in Hebei Province.
In addition, local and international big brands like Philips Avent, Chicco, Briax, Hauck, Maxi-Cosi, Quinny, Mothercare, Jdbug, GoodBaby, Angel, Chi Lok Bo and LuckyBaby presented their wares.
2012 is the Year of the Dragon according to the traditional Chinese zodiac which runs on a 12-year cycle. It is widely considered as an auspicious year to have babies and is therefore almost certain to trigger a spell of baby boom. It is foreseeable that the domestic baby and children's supplies market will usher in new development opportunities for the next three to five years.
