CT REIA Announces May 2012 Real Estate Mastermind Group and Connecticut Apartment Owners Seminar

On May 21, 2012, the Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association (CT REIA) will be hosting its quarterly Real Estate Mastermind Group and Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut meeting. Attendees will receive valuable landlord training.

West Hartford, CT -- (SBWire) -- 05/28/2012 --The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, is announcing the quarterly meeting of the Real Estate Mastermind Group and Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut on May 21, 2012. This meeting will take place from 5:15 pm to 9:00 pm at the Comfort Inn, located at 900 East Main Street in Meriden, CT. All attendees will receive a copy of Connecticut's best apartment lease and some refreshments.

The CT REIA Mastermind Group shares professional thoughts, ideas, opinions and information with real estate investors in Connecticut. To be successful it is also important to be supportive and industry-based. CT REIA created this industry-specific meeting to focus on the collective group experience. This portion of the event begins at 5:15 pm and is only open to CT REIA coaching students, CT REIA members with two or more buildings, or CT REIA members who have done five or more transactions.

The Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut is the largest statewide association representing the interest of apartment owners. Current and prospective landlords are encouraged to attend this meeting. Attendees of this seminar will learn: how to manage properties, tenants and maintenance; how investors can be more hands off; how to hire and use a good property management person or company; the benefits of multifamily properties in Connecticut; how to choose the best tenants; how to deal with tenants and handle tenant issues; how to modify a lease and rental application; about the new security deposit rule; how to avoid evictions; about the building code; about laws and regulations for landlords; how to eliminate pests from properties; how to work with a professional property management firms; and much more. This portion of the event will begin at 7:00 pm.
