Bristol, Avon -- (SBWire) -- 07/22/2009 -- A new event has been announced this week by Six Degrees Events (http://www.sixdegs.com). The event will focus on how social media is changing the face of modern Public Relations. Social PR (http://www.social-pr.net) will take place at RIBA in London on the 4th December.
The one day conference will give unique insight into how PR is shifting its focus and efforts due to the social media dominated world they now operate in. Core issues will include crisis management in the social space, keeping qualitative work accountable as well as looking at specific tools such as blogs and twitter, and how they can best be utilised.
Running alongside the conference will be an exhibition showcasing the latest tools available to work in the web 2.0 sphere, as well as a chance to network with experts and professionals who have already taken and successfully incorporated social media into effective PR campaigns.
“This conference will look at how PR companies and professionals need to adapt to include social media and will give them a chance to listen to those who are already working with it successfully” says Richard Blythe, Marketing Manager of Six Degrees. “I think this will be an excellent learning tool to help people avoid the many, and serious, pitfalls that social media has for the PR industry.”
