Johannesburg, Gauteng -- (SBWire) -- 09/25/2009 -- Reflecting natural features with its saddle shape, the Royal Bafokeng Stadium is set to play an important role and will embrace the 2010 legacy by being one of ten stadiums to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ soccer tournament.

Seating 42,000 the stadium has been named after the Bafokeng people who live in the area and like the Free State stadium, in preparations ahead of the 2010 tournament, the Royal Bafokeng has undergone minor refurbishments.

Once again successful in the tendering process, Prosound were contracted to Liviero to provide a sound system with good intelligibility and precise speaker coverage combined with high SPL capability.

The design utilises Electro-Voice Phoenix, FRX+660PI and ZX-5 controlled by Peavey Media Matrix, fitted with Crest CKI amplifiers and together with the mixing console, the Midas Venice.

The Voice Evacuation System consisted of RCF PL60, Horn Speaker HD410T and the Dynacord DL800/15T.

Liviero’s Louis du Toit commented, “The installation was completed timeously and under severe time constraints with the end result being superb sound quality.”

All things considered, yet another sound system install has been carried out by Prosound which meets and exceeds the FIFA requirements.
