Fort Lauderdale, FL -- (SBWire) -- 04/13/2010 -- J.M. Field Marketing, a leading integrated marketing firm, has launched its internship program to provide marketing, design and business students with meaningful work experiences to supplement and enhance their academic course load. The program is built around an 8-week schedule, allowing each intern to spend two full weeks in the 4 different departments. Each intern post comes with its own set of challenges and duties, including exposure to a wide array of skills and techniques that will help prepare him/her when entering the professional marketing field. The ideal applicant should be willing to put in a full 8 weeks, from 9am to 5pm, as a J.M. Field Marketing intern. However, short-term 4 week internships are also available for students who prefer to learn about a specific department such as Fulfillment Services, Graphic Design and Direct Marketing, Web Design and Online Marketing and Materials Productions. The internships can also be customized to meet the students’ specific college requirements and needs. Internships are available year round with flexible dates.
Students will generally begin their 8 week marketing internship in the Fulfillment Services department, where they’ll become familiar with the fulfillment process and assist account executives with their daily projects. Then the student will move on to the Graphic Design and Direct Marketing department, where they’ll learn about and have the opportunity to design graphics for print, web and trade shows. After that they’ll assist the Web Design and Online Marketing department in creating web designs for different clients or implement online campaigns. Lastly students will support the Materials Productions department with ad-specialty projects and have monitored contact with clientele.
The J.M. Field Marketing Fort Lauderdale office is large and efficient enough to offer a wide spectrum of experience, but small and casual enough for interns to form intimate and lasting bonds with the staff they’ll be learning from. Students will have significant exposure and be granted with certain responsibilities, setting this intern program apart from others. Jack Field, the President of J.M. Field Marketing, remarked, “Our marketing internship program will provide students with a unique opportunity to gain a well-rounded experience through working in the marketing field. It will also expose students to a wide array of industries and local businesses.”
Most college students are required to complete an internship as a final preparation before they can graduate. Communication, design and business majors will find that J.M. Field Marketing’s internship program is a great position to add to their resume and set them on track to finding the right job after college. Interns are expected to leave the program with a better understanding of the marketing industry.
For over 20 years, J.M. Field Marketing has provided results-oriented interactive marketing services through creative services, direct marketing, materials production, warehousing or website design to meet its client’s business objectives. This internship program will enable J.M. Field Marketing to pass on their expertise to the next generation of marketers.
