Noida, UP -- (SBWire) -- 06/07/2010 -- The monsoon is here and it is an apt time to undertake rejuvenation therapies. And making the most of this opportunity are Kerala's Ayurveda and tourism industry. Foreseeing a good inflow of tourist in Kerala this monsoon, Kerala Tourism has announced attractive tour packages that includes tour to hill stations of Kerala. Likewise, the Ayurveda industry is all set to woo the tourists with Ayurveda packages ( http://www.indiantravelpackages.com/ayurveda-tours/index.html ) that are best for rejuvenation.

Synchronized massages namely the Pizhichil, the Shirodara, the Njavrakizy and the Nasayam are some of the rejuvenating Ayurvedic treatments that have been included in the Ayurveda packages. In addition to these, the Pancha Karma therapy, which is another popular Ayurvedic treatment, is also included in these packages.

“Ayurvedic treatments in Kerala range from 1 day to 14 days. The patients are also given the Kazhikada Kanji; which is medicated rice porridge good for body rejuvenation”, says Dr. D R Sadath of Kerala Ayurveda (KA). Says Mr. P P Vipin; regional marketing manager of KA, “During last monsoon season no less than 50 foreign tourists, mainly from UK, US and France undertook Ayurvedic treatments at Kerala Ayurveda Ltd (KAL) and this year we are expecting a 100 per cent increase.”

“Some of the tourists last year simply wanted to experience rejuvenation treatment during monsoon whereas the others had come for skin treatments and back aches. After undertaking treatments, most of the patients got up to 90 per cent relief”, claimed Mr. P P Vipin. “Patients prefer to travel to Kerala during monsoon to experience the rain and undertake the treatment inspite of the fact that KA has a treatment centre in Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida. Not only this, even Allopathic doctors from Japan and Korea are undertaking Ayurvedic courses at KA”, Vipin said.

Moving on, the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has announced its monsoon package for this year under three different schemes. Ranging from five to eight days, these packages have been designed centering prime locations like Kovalam Samudra, Kumarakom Waterscapes, Tea gardens of Munnar, Aaranyanivas in Thekkady and Bolgatty in Kochi. House boating in the breathtaking Alappuzha backwaters is also part of these packages. Boarding & lodging arrangements at affordable rates along with spa treatment and taxi services are also being provided by Kerala Tourism.

Capitalizing on the rainy season, Wayanad Tourism Organization (WTO) in association with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) is planning to organize a three day festival named 'Splash 2010' from July 9 to showcase rural sports.
