New York, NY -- (SBWire) -- 06/02/2015 --NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art has acquired an additional acquisition –- Ghosts -– says Pete and Stew Kandel (known as Dr. Pete and Dr. Stew) noted paranormal investigators and licensed NYC tour guides aka New York's own "Ghost Doctors." These two ghost hunters have been investigating the supernatural underbelly of the Big Apple for years (sort of like those guys from the movie Ghostbusters except they actually know the strange goings on in NYC). And now they have found something else, something out of the ordinary and quite extraordinary behind the walls of this great museum and it ain't art.

"Besides having the largest art collection in the world of well over two million pieces, NYC's Met has been open since1872 which lends itself to a heck of a lot of visitations from some pretty cultured spirits," says Dr. Pete.

In fact, the Ghost Doctors have recently uncovered some unusual paranormal activity in one of the museum's famed period rooms. With a whole battery of ghost hunting equipment which they carry around in a very appropriate "doctor's bag" these two ghost hunters while leading a group of eager ghost hunting rookies, encountered some unexplained ghostly happenings.

"After a crash course in ghost hunting 101, some of our participants picked up readings on their EMF meters (Electro Magnetic Field) as well as a drop in temperature detected on their infrared temperature detectors," says Dr. Stew. "And it's quite exciting when we find something that turns up out of nowhere...you just never know."

The Ghost Doctors say every time they go ghost hunting, there is always the possibility their groups of thrill seekers will find something new and strange, especially in a place as large, diverse and historic as the Met .

"It's sorta like fishing, with the right equipment, expertise and a bit of luck you might just catch a glimpse of the paranormal," says Dr. Pete.
