Parkland, FL -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2015 --Kaiser Romanello, a personal injury law firm located in Parkland, FL, and serving the Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties, has taken on a pro-bono advisory position to local nonprofit organization, 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida. Kaiser Romanello will be assisting the nonprofit in addressing a situation in which the organization was unjustly criticized for the actions of a volunteer, which resulted in alleged injuries.
Kaiser Romanello decided to offer its assistance as pro-bono advisors after hearing about the criticism that 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida has endured after a situation involving a volunteer. The volunteer, who went to the home of a recent stroke victim to retrieve an animal that the organization hoped to place in a foster home, was reportedly bitten by a dog or dogs. The incident occurred after the volunteer ignored 100+ Abandoned Dogs' protocol and instructions to not enter the property. The property displayed "Beware of Dog" and "Private Property. No Trespassing" signs. A chain was wrapped around the front gate. After the volunteer went to the hospital, and five of the stroke victim's dogs were confiscated by animal control and scheduled to be put down in the resultant confusion, the nonprofit was accused of "lacking compassion." This unwarranted characterization transpired despite the organization's history of charitable works, volunteer safety protocol, and good safety record.
Kaiser Romanello has gone on the record as stating, "We would hate for this unjust criticism to sway opinions of 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida, or even worse, prevent volunteers from donating their time and resources to help organizations dedicated to helping others out of fear of such incidents."
It is with this sentiment that Kaiser Romanello has undertaken the effort to help 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida to clear their reputation and continue to direct their attention to helping the Everglades community through community service. 100+ Abandoned Dogs of the Everglades Florida's hearts goes out the volunteer and they hope for her speedy recovery. Kaiser Romanello, however, is assisting 100+ Abandoned Dogs of the Everglades Florida to bring to light the facts that show the incident occurred due to an error in the volunteers' judgement and breach of the organization's protocol and instructions.
