A Free Community Portal Designed to Promote Mentoring and Support for All Users

Hub.eu.com was born out of desire to help a group of friends to promote their individual projects and to provide them with the means to finance their endeavours. Since then, it has evolved into a free online community portal designed to create a place for mentoring and collaboration between users and communities, and to support them by offering free tools to reap the benefits of their knowledge and experience.

Bath, Somerset -- (SBWire) -- 10/20/2010 -- The original idea of the internet was to be a pool of human knowledge. It was to allow people in different locations to share their ideas and projects. Since then, the web has evolved and become a lot more then just a tool for exchanging ideas. It became an information super-highway, a self sustaining hub of human culture. E-commerce became ripe and in recent years expenditure on internet advertising exceeded that of TV.

To put it simply, modern websites can be largely grouped into one of two categories: commercial or educational. We, at hub.eu.com, decided to bridge the gap between the two categories and to create a site that would not only provide a clear unbiased advise for all interested users but also allowed us to support individuals and communities providing that advise.

Here, at http://hub.eu.com/ we aim to foster a learning environment and to create a place for mentoring and collaboration between users from all walks of life. The site is designed by the users for the users, where anyone is welcomed to share their views and opinions, where all users are given free tools to reap the financial benefits of their knowledge and experience, where site development is driven by the needs and desires of its users.

In the very beginning, hub.eu.com was nothing more then a centralised file storage resource. When the community using it expanded, we've upgraded the site to include rudimentary data management tools. Then, a couple of years ago, the site ventured out and explored the possibilities offered by the world of Second Life. This was an exciting and educational experience, most noted for real-time conferencing and 3D modelling of virtual environments. But now, we have returned to the roots of the project. We've upgraded and improved software running the site, expanded it's feature set.

Having previous experience in system administration, web development and network management, plus a passion for programming we, at hub.eu.com, saw that we had the skills that the users didn't necessarily luck, but simply didn't have the time to pursue. As a result, the site has been re-designed from the ground up with the end user in mind: it is now fully automated and requires little to no technical expertise to operate; it is secure, all payments are done through PayPal; it is safe, our online store is stocked by Amazon, who is also responsible for handling all of the orders.
