E&M Solutions Designs Gas Volume Recorder in Response to EPA's Mandatory Report Rule 40 CFR

Littleton, CO -- (SBWire) -- 11/12/2010 -- Anticipating the overwhelming need in response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Mandatory Report Rule 40 CFR, Part 98, Sub-Part W, E&M Sales has designed the only plug-and-play solution available — the Gas Volume Recorder (GVR), which will help oil and gas companies become compliant. “It’s a cost-effective solution that’s easy to install and easy to use,” GVR Product Manager Andy Hawker says. The GVR generated a lot of buzz at the Wyoming Natural Gas Fair in September and the 2010 Natural Gas STAR Annual Implementation Workshop in November.

The new GVR continually monitors this vital data and records it directly into the purpose-built data logger, which stores up to 12 months of data. By using the GVR's weather-proof USB port, you can easily and quickly transfer the data to a flash drive, and from there to a laptop computer. The data downloads automatically and provides an easy-to-read summary of the volume of gas consumed: Two full days of hourly data plus one partial day; three months of daily data totals; and nine months of monthly totals.

Unlike the program instituted in 1992, the new rule is not voluntary, and implementation is only eight weeks down the road. On January 1, 2011, data gathering must begin on GHG emissions — whether gas and oil companies are ready or not.
