London, England -- (SBWire) -- 04/11/2011 -- In a complete change from his normal working day, Michael Fisher owner of Hammersmith-based Capital Caterers, recently found himself working in the midst of a whirlwind of fashion!
Not that he was complaining of course. Surrounded by a bevy of beauties – both those on the catwalk and the delightful desert platters his team had created for the event – he managed to take the whole experience in his stride. “I’ve previously described my job as the best in the world because I start my working day with the smell of fresh baking bread! But, I may now have to update my reason behind that statement!” he said.
Accustomed to dealing in the main with corporate events – boardroom meetings, seminars and customer presentations – the company leapt at the opportunity to work alongside the Show Space London as one of the sponsors at London Fashion Week, which ran from 18th-23rd February.
The sponsorship deal meant that Capital Caterers, which has been serving the catering needs of London businesses for 15 years, was asked to provide sandwich, desert and fruit platters each day of the show as lunches for both the models and the guests invited by the fashion houses.
The experience was such an enjoyable one for the team that they’re now looking forward to working with other venues in a similar capacity. Michael continued, “We’re already taking bookings for events well into this year – and even a few for big events next year. But I’m always interested in new and different events that maybe stretch our creative skills a little further.”

More used to working in the kitchen, catering for standard corporate events and business meetings, Michael Fisher owner of Capital Caterers was delighted when he was given the opportunity to cater lunches for both the models and guests at this year's London Fashion Week.
