Wells, Somerset -- (SBWire) -- 04/25/2011 -- Tourism company Around About Britain successfully raised a total of £150 for Comic Relief.
On Red Nose Day, the 18th March, the whole company came to work dressed in their most embarrassing outfits, from tracksuits to swimming costumes, and also with the biggest hair they could muster (although most opted for wigs).
Around About Britain also donated £1 for each order taken on the day to Comic Relief, plus the team played a game throughout the day called ‘Name That Song’. Each time a salesperson took an order they were given the first line of a song, if they guessed the name of the song on the first go then the company would put an extra £1 towards Comic Relief. If they needed a second line they would have to donate 50p themselves, and if they needed 3rd or 4th lines they would have to donate 20p.
Comic Relief’s mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment. Since its inception 25 years ago millions of pounds have been raised through Red Nose Day and Sport Relief. That money is spent in the best possible way to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice. You can find out more at http://www.comicrelief.com
