Battle Creek, MI -- (SBWire) -- 02/13/2014 --Set upon the stage of the 16th century Holy Roman Empire, the new historical fantasy Werelord Thal: A Renaissance Werewolf Tale by Tracy Falbe mixes paranormal powers into the milieu of Reformation Europe and witch hunting. Currently touring blogs to promote the novel, Falbe received a good review from blogger Jamie Marchant on February 13th.

“This one kept me up all night,” said Marchant in her review of Werelord Thal.

Taking place in 1561 Bohemia the hero Thal becomes a werewolf after his witch mother casts a spell to summon him to avenge her impending torture and execution. Thal had previously been transformed into a pure wolf by his sorcerer father. When his mother’s magic seizes upon him, he returns to the shape of a man but retains an enchanted wolf fur that gives him complete control over his werewolf powers. Beckoned by a magical call for vengeance, Thal seeks his mother’s killers in Prague.

In her review, Marchant wrote that Werelord Thal was “a fascinating story that I couldn’t stop reading.”

The review appears at her blog The Kronicles of Korthlundia, which is the name of Marchant’s developing epic fantasy series. The first book The Goddess’s Choice is published.

Alongside the review, a guest post by Tracy Falbe explaining the medicinal herbs mentioned in Werelord Thal also appears. Falbe is currently promoting the novel with the Werewolves in the Renaissance blog tour. The tour features content developed from her historical research notes for the novel.

Werelord Thal is widely available at numerous online retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Smashwords, and Kobo. The first chapter "Water and Blood" can be read at the author’s web store Brave Luck Books where the ebook and paperback are also sold.
