New York, NY -- (SBWire) -- 12/04/2013 --With a $20,000 goal Sanjay Chadha, CEO of Safety Labs, and his innovative team have launched a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo for their SafetyLINK product. SafetyLINK is the world’s first and only wearable personal device that uses the power of Bluetooth, smartphones and crowd sourcing to provide safety to users worldwide. By simply using social media and crowd sourcing the device creates a network of people ready and available to lend a hand should someone need assistance.

Minimalistic in aesthetic design SafetyLINK is activated by simply pressing the button and holding it for three seconds. When the SafetyLINK button is pressed the device signals family, friends and nearby members of the SafetyLINK community as well as the device’s monitoring station that is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Able to protect children wearing the device who may have wandered away SafetyLINK notifies parents immediately on their cellphone to provide information regarding their child’s location. Chadha said of the strategic wearable safety device, “The SafetyLINK is invaluable when you consider the alternative. What could be more resourceful than a small item that one can wear that notifies all concerned about their whereabouts?”

Designed to help with children as well as the elderly who may need assistance during the course of any day or night SafetyLINK can be used by way of a key fob, a stylish pendant, a clip on wearable or a driving safety button that can be attached to the dashboard of a car. Exceptional for locating a missing person or an accident victim the device automatically detects something as small as a fall or as large as a major accident. An event as volatile as a major car accident in which the vehicle rolls over will engage the SafetyLINK device. It will then automatically notify the SafetyLINK community and the 24/7 monitoring station through an intelligent cloud server. When the monitoring station is notified, if necessary, emergency services are then engaged.

Making life convenient the SafetyLINK device can also be used to find one’s mobile device or lost keys via the item’s resourceful app. It will also notify a user that they have received a call, email or text message. Offered with two service plan options the SafetyLINK app and the basic service includes the ability to send SOS notifications to friends, family and the SafetyLINK community and directly connect with emergency services. The premium option includes services such as 24x7 monitoring, the ability to send detailed notifications with up to date location to emergency services and other premium features. The premium option varies between $5.95 and $9.95 per month. Currently the SafetyLINK system is supported on iOS, Android and WP8.

Safety Labs is located in New York, New York and is co-founded by Sanjay Chadha. Chadha is a serial entrepreneur and software engineer with over 20 years of mobile, wireless and telecom solutions experience.
