Nelson, Lancashire -- (SBWire) -- 08/26/2016 --Across the country supermarkets have recently slashed petrol and diesel prices by an average of 2p per litre, with supermarket giant Asda announcing a 'national cap' which means that motorists will no longer have to pay more than 106.7ppl on diesel and 105.7ppm at their 272 stations across the country. In accordance to this Tesco introduced a 2p drop, which is already in effect.
A range of spokespeople from various supermarkets, not limited to Asda and Tesco, but also Morrisons and more, have spoken out in recent months and said the price drops have come into place to ensure that their customers are able to fill up their tanks affordable, and enjoy their summers. As a result of the recent Brexit vote, many things have become more expensive; however, it is great to see that something which is so vital for many people has seen a price drop.
