Budapest, Hungary -- (SBWire) -- 07/30/2015 --GREENWILL has launched a Kickstarter campaign towards the development of a platform called GreenAdvisor. GreenAdvisor will empower consumers around the world to directly influence businesses and organizations to operate in a more eco-friendly manner. It would bring together people with a shared interest in a cleaner planet and put the power that comes in numbers in their hands, literally. By being able to rate, identify, locate and favor eco-conscious businesses, GreenAdvisor will be the tool that compels businesses and organizations to communicate their environmental performances to the general public. Moreover, it will make consumers more vigilant in identifying environmentally negligent activities in their offices, at restaurants or at their local bank branches.
The Kickstarter campaign is only the first step in this revolution. By turning to crowdfunding, GREENWILL is placing the initiation of the platform in the hands of the people for whom it will serve. The campaign was able to raise 10% of its funding within 2 hours of its launch thanks to pledges from attendees at the launch event, as well as from a global network of supporters. As a result of the limited coverage the campaign has received however, its momentum has not been strong and will take more individuals to spread the campaign first-hand.

A campaign launched by GRENWILL is underway on Kickstarter for a revolutionary, first-of-its-kind app called GreenAdvisor.
The campaign is on track with backers and donations streaming in from a global network of supporters committed to solving critical environmental problems. Some major supporters include Young & Rubicam, IBM, Deutsche Telekom, Salesforce.
GreenAdvisor app will empower consumers to pressure businesses to be greener, and to reward those that already are -- all directly from their smartphones. As a result, companies will increasingly have to answer for their practices directly to the consumer.
The initial campaign response demonstrates the power of GreenAdvisor idea. People have spoken, and they want a more direct role in the protection of the planet.
The campaign is live on Kickstarter until 12 August, 2015. This round of crowdfunding seeks to raise the seed resources to start development of the platform and undertake beta testing.
