Gennevilliers, France -- (SBWire) -- 09/23/2014 --Marco Wittmann has been crowned DTM champion, building an unassailable 69-point lead over the first eight races of the season. This is the 24-year-old’s second season in the DTM, and he is now the youngest ever BMW driver to win the title.
Wittmann made an appearance this Saturday at the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt, representing Exide Technologies (OTCQB: XIDEQ). The battery giant is an official partner to BMW Motorsport in the DTM. Attendees were invited to meet and greet the driver, and a BMW DTM M3 show car was positioned at the stand throughout the event.

This season Wittmann’s victory will be seen as a huge win for Exide.
