Manchester, England -- (SBWire) -- 08/06/2015 --Mills & Boon are the largest publishers of romantic fiction in the entire world. Chances are, if you've walked through a bookshop or supermarket, you've come upon entire corners devoted to their publications. Their authors go on to become household names, selling thousands of books and entertaining countless women (and sometimes men!), in the vagaries of love and loss. And now, the Writers Bureau can confirm that their student, Rachael Dove, has won a fiercely competitive contest held by Prima magazine and Mills & Boon, with her entry 'The Chic Boutique on Baker Street'. She will now be working with editors to complete her book so it is ready to hit the shelves next year.

Rachel, a 33 year old mother of two, is the latest in a long line of Writers Bureau students to have success with romantic fiction. These include award winning writer Christina Jones with 18 novels to her name and Kryssie Fortune with five novels under her belt.

About The Writers Bureau
The Writers Bureau is a distance learning college which provides aspiring writers with the toolkit they need to get published. Offering courses in creative writing, journalism and poetry, they are well established within the creative community.

Susie Busby, Principal of the Writers Bureau says, "Writing a book for Mills & Boon is a fantastic opportunity for a new writer. Many people don't appreciate that just because a book is easy to read it doesn't mean it is easy to write. So, we are delighted that Rachel has this chance to work with some of the best people in romantic fiction.

"Our students work hard on refining their craft so that one day their work will be published. We encourage this aspiration and try our best to help them achieve it. Our courses focus on developing the student's technical writing skills as well as learning how to tailor their work so they have the best possible chance of selling it. Once established, they will then have a very good chance of turning their passion into a career."
