Lancashire, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/23/2016 -- In August the average price for a one bedroom property in the Capital rose to above £1,000, making the proportion of income in London spent on rent even higher than before. In fact, with the average disposable income in London being £1,497 figures suggest that over two thirds of many peoples income is currently being spent on rent alone. With a rapidly growing population and a severe undersupply of houses being built, it is thought that going forward these rental prices are only going to continue to increase – making it harder and harder for people to live in London comfortably and happily.
The rise in rental prices is however not limited to London, in fact August saw rental prices increasing across the country – not as drastically though. Because of this many people living in the Capital are opting to move to more affordable locations, with one popular choice being Margate. The capital just isn't affordable for a lot of people to live presently, especially for the younger generation. Also, now the night tube is up and running, people are more able to live in alternative locations whilst still working in London and visiting as they please."
