Mt. Ephraim, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/25/2016 -- Those who dream of riding in the wind but have never been on a motorcycle can have a chance to grasp the handlebars for the first time at Barb's Harley-Davidson. The Harley-Davidson dealership teaches first-time riders how to drive motorcycles during their Riding Academy® New Rider Course, which is now open for registration. Ladies and gentlemen can sign up for the spring 2016 courses to learn how to ride a motorcycle from a true Harley Davidson perspective.
Classes are held during the week and almost every weekend in the classroom and on the practice range. The New Rider Course is $425 and makes acquiring a NJ motorcycle license from the local MVC a hassle-free, one-stop transaction. Upon successful completion of the class, graduates will receive a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) completion card that can help with getting insurance discounts. Plus, students who finish the course will be eligible to skip taking the state's road test and written permit test by receiving a Road Test Waiver, since all of the testing is conducted as part of the class.
Barb's Harley-Davidson can also provide separate classes for small groups upon request. As one of the most renowned motorcycle dealers near Philadelphia, the classes are expected to fill up fast, so residents are encouraged to enroll in the course of their choice while they are still available. All students are required to wear a long sleeve shirt or leather jacket, long pants, over-the-ankle sturdy footwear, full-fingered gloves, protective eyewear and a Department of Transportation certified helmet during the Harley-Davidson's Riding Academy® New Rider Course. For those who do not have a DOT approved helmet, the dealership will provide students with one during the classes at no extra cost.
Barb's Harley-Davidson is one of the few motorcycle dealers in NJ that offer professional riding lessons for beginners. For more information on their classes or to register for one of their spring 2016 sessions, call the Riding Academy Department at 856-456-4141 or email ridingacademy@barbsharleydavidson.com.
