Toronto, ON -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/28/2016 -- Bliss Protein Bar founders Doris Fin and Nohemie Renaud have announced they will make use of crowdfunding website Indiegogo to raise the funds to grow their start-up health food company. Their mission is to bring life back to food!

An Indiegogo page has been set up to collect donations, with a graduated list of perks for contributors.

"Eating properly on the go can be such a challenge," says Doris Fin, creator of the bar and founder of the company. "It's become easy to choose unhealthy, artificially flavored and preserved snacks full of sugar. So we are challenging the existing norms by combining organic superfoods that are packed with health and vitality and come in a convenient and delicious healthy snack (bar)."

"Each bar is packed with protein, vitamins, micronutrients, natural phytonutrients, antioxidants and healthy fatty acids. Our Bliss Protein Bars are also the first in the world with a therapeutic dose of E3 Live AFA, the popular super-nutrient derived from blue-green algae."

So far the bars have only been produced in small batches in Toronto, Canada and marketed locally. To meet demand and to make them available for a wider market the company will need to buy larger batches of ingredients from select quality suppliers and use an automated packaging line in a co-packing facility, according to founder, Fin.

Reaching the Indiegogo campaign goal will help this to happen, with ramped-up deliveries to stores expected to begin in September 2016 on a first come, first serve basis.
