No salt, sugar, oils or spicy food, no physical contact with anyone, except the maestro administering the "dieta." No use of chemicals of any kind. This includes soap, toothpaste, deodorant, insect repellent, etc..

The Ayahuasca plant medicine acts as both a purgative and hallucinogen. Mercel explains "Ayahuasca: is an entheogen based brew made out of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, often in combination with various other plants. The brew is used as a traditional spiritual medicine in ceremonies among the Indigenous peoples of Amazonian Peru."
