Miami, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/23/2018 -- Receiving a ticket is something that should be avoided. All drivers need to practice safe driving habits. For drivers that are new to the road, there are several common reasons why people are given traffic tickets.
Perhaps the most common of all reasons that most, if not all drivers are aware of is running a red light. Often, drivers make rolling stops instead of making a full stop, resulting in a ticket. Florida drivers should also remember that if they are turning right on a red light, they are still required to come to a full stop before proceeding.
Speeding is another common reason for a ticket. With modern vehicles driving so smoothly, it's easy to unintentionally go over the speed limit, especially on a highway. However, going too fast may also result in injuries instead of just a ticket. Speed limits are there to make roads safe, always keep an eye out.
Keeping in mind simple rules such as making sure to signal, coming to a complete stop, staying under the speed limit, and refraining from distractions such as cell phone usage can make the roads safer for everyone.
