Spreads in Cameroon - New Market Study Published
Spreads current retail value sales increased by 6% in 2012. Manufacturers intensified advertising in a bid to expand their consumer bases and market share while cheaper alternatives such as margarine continued to perform better, with smaller pack sizes being favoured. Despite this, spreads continued to record slower retail value sales growth than most other packaged food areas in Cameroon in 2012 due to cultural habits such as consuming bread with home cooked meats.
