Sanitary Protection in Bulgaria - New Market Report
Sanitary protection (excluding intimate wipes) slowly declined over the review period, reaching 197,000 units in 2012. The volume decrease came about as a result of the shrinking female population aged 10-54. This demographic group reached 2.2 million, after dropping by 28,000 between 2011 and 2012. Value sales remained relatively stable due to consumers switching to more specialised products, and sales reached BGN38 million.
