Rise of Public Private Partnership in Indian Diagnostic Market
Recognizing the need for increased quality in healthcare and the inadequacy of infrastructure to provide the same, the government is resorting to Public Private Partnership to enhance the status of healthcare services in India. The London headquartered US$ 7 Billion Enso Group, along with Wipro GE Healthcare, has tied up with the state governments of Maharashtra and Punjab to upgrade diagnostic facilities in 43 civil hospitals, 22 in Maharashtra and 21 in Punjab.
