Diet Doc Examines the Influence of the Fasting Mimicking Diet on Long Term Weight Management
A study, performed at the University of Southern California and published in the journal, Cell Metabolism, cell.com/cell-metabolism/abstract/S1550-4131(15)00224-7 examined the health and long term weight loss benefits of the fasting mimicking diet . While almost all experts agree that cutting calories, avoiding processed foods and reducing carbohydrates can positively influence cholesterol numbers, blood pressure and cause weight loss, many also agree that the change needs to be a long term lifestyle change, rather than a mere quick fix.
