Let's Smile! Release Statistics Concerning the Oral Health of Children
According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, 42 percent of children between the ages of two and 11 have had cavities in one or more primary teeth. Children living in low income houses and those of Hispanic or Black descent tend to be more at risk of dental caries, and 23 percent have dental caries that remain untreated.
