Neisseriaceae Infections Market to Expand with Increasing Gonorrhea Cases
Neisseria is a massive genus of microorganism that colonizes the mucosal surfaces of many animals. Of the eleven species that colonize humans, simplest are pathogens, N. meningitides and N. gonorrhoea. Maximum gonococcal infections are asymptomatic and self-resolving, and epidemic traces of the meningococcus may be carried in >95% of a population in which systemic disease takes place at <1% occurrence.
