Cosplay Idol Traci Hines and Indie Pop group Peter Panic record the new geek and nerd anthem "Wonderful Weird" for the feature film "Cosplay Dreams 3D".
Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/17/2014 -- The film producers and Peter Panic crafted and refined "Wonderful Weird" before recording the track at Matt Appleton's secluded Lake Arrowhead recording studio on September 13th. "Wonderful Weird" songwriter Danny Tieger says, "The message of this song is: The parts of you that are weird, and strange, and don't quite fit…. those are the best parts of you."
Chistine Kasal Parascandolo, Executive Producer of Cosplay Dreams 3D, wanted the song to speak to the creative community at large. "I was thrilled with the universal message behind the song. Not only does it relate to Cosplayers, it also speaks to artists, filmmakers, musicians, game designers, animators, writers… anyone who lives "outside of the box" and endeavors to create the world they would want to live in. Peter Panic really crafted something truly special."
"I was stoked when Cosplay Dreams brought me on to sing on the track. I loved this song from the minute I heard it, and thought it was so positive and fun, and perfect for the Cosplay community." Explains Traci Hines, "It's all about celebrating every part of who you are, especially the parts that make you stand out. I'm super thrilled to be a part of the project! As much as I love Cosplay, I love music even more, so getting to be involved in the musical side of this film was fantastic!"
The track is now available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Amazon music, and other popular online music outlets. The track was just made available prior to the "Cosplay Dreams 3D" world-premiere on Dec. 6th at the Los Angeles 3D Film Festival.
