New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/07/2016 -- The OVIO PairLock project promises to upgrade and simplify security and security management through a revolutionary design that uses one key to unlock all locks using a blend of password functionality and standard key safety. On top of that, it's easy to manage and affordable. To bring this unique system to buyers, the developers of the OVIO PairLock have taken the initiative to setup a crowdfunding campaign to cover the costs of tooling, manufacturing and various other expenses. The crowdfunding campaign has been launched on Indiegogo with a funding goal of at least $20,000 USD to be raised within the next 2 months.
OVIO PairLock has been designed to have two components, which include the OVIO PairLock cylinder locks, which will be available in different styles and colors and will all have the Digit Wheels which will allow users to set up their unique multiple digit codes and also change the combination. OVIO PairLock can customize the digit wheel to meet different unique safety requirement. User can choose a standard 4-digit passcode, or add additional unique digit wheel for added security.
The OVIO PairLock spokesperson explained: "My Own Locksmith" had earned Germany's Red Dot Design in 2014. Two years were spent refining, testing, and improving the concept. Now, in 2016, it is officially released as "PairLock". The core value of PairLock is to offer higher security and simplify management, all while making it practical and applicable to any scenario."
The second component of the OVIO PairLock is the "One Key For All" OVIO PairLock key. Key codes are changeable, same as the passcodes on cylinder locks. Locks open when codes on the cylinder lock and keys match. This means that multiple cylinder locks can be managed by one key.
The designing, engineering, the development of the prototype and its testing has all been completed. According to the developers, great emphasis and focus has been put on developing a security system that will effectively replace traditional locks and key to a simpler, more secure and effective solution.
The two component of the device have been developed to be easy to install and requires a few simple steps to be up and running, even for people who do not consider themselves to be tech savvy. Complete step by step installation instructions will be provided with each device for the convenience of users.
The ongoing campaign has seen some progress since its launch, but still has a long way to go. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use.
