London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/11/2013 -- The 'Dee Duce' label has been launched this year after the incredible success of the Dee Images brand, which showcased at UK Top Model in March 2013. Dee Duce has taken inspiration from the extravagance and glamour of the 1920's and 30's, with fabulous flowing fabrics and striking designs that are sure to catch the eye. Dee's adoration of Couture Wear and passion for “Made in London” shines through, showing that Modern Couture is not just for the highly exclusive Fashion Houses; with her exceptional talent, imagination and attention to detail this is not a designer to underestimate.
London Fashion Week is one of the big four fashion weeks in the world, held twice a year since 1984 to show the designs for the upcoming season. One of the top events in the fashion world, it is a chance for designers to showcase their collections on the catwalk, and for buyers to place orders, with over £100 million worth of orders being placed each season. Success can be found at the event too, for both designers, buyers and models. In 1995 Stella McCartney's debut collection sold out almost instantly, propelling her into the spotlight and kick-starting her incredible career, and in 1989 Kate Moss made her runway debut, going on to be one of the most successful supermodels in the world. It is the biggest event in British fashion, and the dream of many to showcase their designs to the thousands of people that attend.
This year, London Fashion Week runs from 13th - 17th September. Dee is showcasing her Spring/Summer collection 2014 at 7:30pm at the evening shows on the 13th and 14th at The Guoman Charing Cross Hotel on The Strand. The iconic London Landmark is steeped in history, and has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment, transforming it into an award winning and world class venue. It is in the heart of the London Fashion Week district and only a short distance from the exhibitions and main shows at Somerset House.
The shows take place in the Betjeman Suite, which is elegant and chic, featuring marble pillars, a sculpted ceiling and glittering chandeliers. This gorgeous venue is a perfect location for Dee's stunning designs to be showcased.
Here are two of the favourite designs from the collection;
The Norah Printed Silk Dress is coquettish and flirtatious, with an air of mystery. The gorgeous silk fabric is sheer but not too much so, leaving a little to the imagination with the beautiful finish of the dress. The halterneck style elongates the figure, and the bold pink colour complements the patterned top section. This dress is enchanting, sexy and gorgeously feminine.
The Ralina Denim Lace and Fuchsia Silk Dress is the Belle of the Ball. This unique, glamorous dress is a serious head turner, with a deep plunging neckline for the confident woman. Cinching in at the waist and falling to the knee at the front, the bold fuchsia silk is beautifully combined with the denim lace, giving a stark contrast with the gorgeous detailing.
Dee is delighted to be showcasing her dresses at London Fashion Week this year, all of her designs are created in the city so to be part of the event fuels her drive and passion for couture and her new 'Dee Duce' label.
