The objective of this project is to help businesses and users overcome two missing features in Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3, including a feature critical in many business settings – the ability to physically lock the device down. Deep Earth Studios is all set to accomplish the same with the SentryShield.
Brisbane, QSD -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/17/2014 -- Microsoft Surface Pro 3 undoubtedly has the capacity to replace PCs in businesses from the technical standpoint. However, users often complain that this excellent device lacks two extremely necessary features. Firstly, many business users want a feature that will prevent their Surface Pro 3 from being stolen. Secondly, users have also expressed the need for an integrated storage slot for the stylus.
At present, there is no practical, functional, and aesthetically appealing solution in the market to physically secure the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Working in tandem with their design partners Involve Design; Deep Earth Studios has tried out several ideas and concepts before selecting a final design to solve the problem. At present, the team is close to deciding on a final prototype that addresses each of the necessities. Working with Microsoft’s “Designed for Surface” design guidelines, Deep Earth Studios has also ensured that the finished product can be marketed under Microsoft’s “Designed for Surface" banner.
Deep Earth Studios has already completed the phases of designing and several rounds of prototyping before teaming up with a manufacturing partner. Now, they are trying to raise $55,000 AUD via Kickstarter to complete the development of SentryShield. All funds raised via Kickstarter will be spent on producing the high-end steel parts mold, initial proof batch of devices, and the first full production run.
This Kickstarter campaign will end on Thursday, December 11, 2014.
